Popular opinion: dressing a bridal party is no easy feat. A group of females with varying heights, body types, and opinions…need we say more? These days, more and more brides are giving their ladies a say in bridal party attire…but leaving the options
too open can venture into some shaky style territory. Where to draw the line while still allowing your ‘maids some leeway? We asked real bride-to-be’s Jessica and Natalie, the ladies behind Camille La Vie’s social media, their top bridesmaid dress choices within the collection. (You may remember them from last week when they chose their fave
wedding dresses!) Peek at their preferences, below, as they describe why they’d pick each option for their ladies. And who knows? You may get
inspiration for your very own bridal squad.
Jessica's Bridesmaid Dress Picks
“I'm really into a dusty color palette for my
summer wedding, since it’s very romantic and brings a subtle pop of color to any setting. My favorite style is the lace
illusion neckline dress (above, center) which I actually wore as my maid of honor dress in a previous wedding! It fits like a glove and gives off a very flattering shape. Like wedding dresses, I'm not a particular fan of strapless styles for bridesmaids, so I naturally veered to the
halter,
one-shoulder and twist necklines in Camille La Vie’s collection. Even so, I love the sweetheart neckline on the criss cross strapless bridesmaid dress. It’s a style I would definitely consider for my wedding party, along with as mixing and matching other styles within the rose shade.”
“While I like the idea of each bridesmaid wearing a different style dress in the same color, I’d honestly prefer a more uniform look. For my second choice I’d keep my bridal party in the rose shade, choosing the illusion halter for the bridesmaids and the lace illusion dress for my maid of honor. I will also have a junior bridesmaid in my wedding party and think a great pick for her would be the short strapless bridesmaids dress.”

“I chose this bridal party look because I love floral and
pink...two of my favorites! I would want my maid of honor to stand out so I would put her in this beautiful floral print bridesmaid dress with light pink and green detail. The rest of my squad would have their choice of petal pink bridesmaid dresses with different neckline options. This bridal party would make for very feminine photos, just add a flower crown to the mix and we’re good to go!”
“
Navy is a color that I truly believe looks amazing on everyone. It’s important that my girls feel beautiful and confident on the special day so I’d love for them to choose their own style within the navy bridesmaid dress collection. (Hint hint... I’m likely having my ladies wear navy for the wedding!)” Xo, Camille
